A troubled past. A murdered friend. A bomb that will change the face of terrorism.

When Sarah Edgewater’s ex-husband is murdered by a wealthy organisation hell-bent on protecting their assets, she turns to Dan Taylor: geologist, ex-soldier, and lost cause.

Plunged into a global quest for answers, Dan and Sarah aren’t just chasing the truth – they’re chasing a bomb that, if detonated, will change the future of alternative energy research and the centre of England’s capital forever…

I thank the stars for blessing me with a kindle. I thank the stars for making me sign up on Instafreebie. And I thank the stars for sending this marvelous book to me.

White Gold follows Dan Taylor, a geologist and ex-soldier, trying to solve his friend Peter Edgewater’s murder. With the help of Peter’s wife Sarah, not only does Dan find the answers to his questions but also find out a sinister plan that could change the future of alternative energy research and the face of terrorism.

This book is one of the most action packed books I have ever read. There wasn’t even one second in the novel where I felt bored or dragged. From start to finish, it felt as if I’m watching a movie. The pace of the novel is moderate to fast and sometimes it gives a break so that the characters can gather their thoughts and the readers can catch their breath. The writing is simple and engaging, once the reader is hooked on it never lets go. The characters are well fleshed and felt real. My favourite character is Charles, the hired killer. Whenever he entered the scene polishing his glasses you know he is up to no good.

White Gold is one of my favourite reads of 2017 and I will be definitely reading more books by Rachel Amphlett.

Final Verdict –

White Gold by Rachel Amphlett gets 5 out of 5 stars from me
