This book was one hell of a ride! My Girl is a lightning fast thriller with no unnecessary details and no loose ends. The action starts from the get go and the book can be completed in one sitting. Following our protagonist, Paige, through the chaos she was living and then the secrets she unearths was gut-wrenching but necessary, as it helps understand how deep she is in the rabbit hole. The writing is crisp and engaging. The chapters are short, adding pace to the story, and have something new to offer in every page. This results in pushing the reader to go on reading until the very end. The double twist at the end of the first part is mind-blowing and mind-boggling. It’s completely bonkers and throws you off the edge. I had my heart beating in my ears along with my brain trying to process the new found information. The change of point of view in the second part is very effective and answers a lot of questions. And the ending was cherry on the cake, putting an end to the story seamlessly. I had super fun reading this marvel. Looking forward to more masterpieces from our author here. He is one such author you must keep your eyes on. He’s the next best blessing to the world of literature.

Final Verdict:

My Girl by Jack Jordan is a must read with 5 out of 5 stars from me.
